Intel lists which games are still incompatible with Alder Lake due to DRM – Computer – News

I spent over an hour trying to see if I could solve it myself, if it was my system or something. Play for an hour. And tadá, played more than 2 hours.

I had the same with No Man’s Sky. You need more than 2 hours to get out of that first solar system, to find out that (at the time) you had actually already seen the whole game.

Then with Doom lots of performance issues, ran like shit. Had to tweak a bit and it didn’t get any better. Well I could wait for an update, I was convinced that Id Software will solve that in the long run, I trust them in that. Due to previous experiences, after 1.5 hours of ingame time but refunded. Didn’t want to take any more risks.

Valve and the developers laugh squarely at you, success with getting your money back .. It’s not that easy digitally.

It works, I’ve become much more reluctant to buy games And yes, I started to pirate more. I demo the game for a few hours before I buy it.

No, that kite is long gone. Yeah just don’t buy any more games, she’ll learn that. I am more concerned with that than those companies. Too many people seem to give a shit and buy it anyway.

Yes more pirates is a good excuse that stricter DRM is applied. But unfortunately for that mindset, it’s all too often been shown to be pure nonsense. We consumers may be exploited, but woe betide if you do that a little in return. Fie :(
