For the weekend, the editorial staff of VW today again scoured the insurers’ product workshops for relevant innovations. Today on offer: A digital repair cost insurance from Element and a blockchain solution from Donau-Versicherung.
The Insurtech Element has launched a digital repair cost insurance with Meneks AG. This protects buyers of new and used cars against the costs of premature wear and tear and defects in mechanical and electrical parts.
Lufthansa is expanding Covid insurance to include additional services. Lufthansa, Austrian and Swiss passengers can now book additional insurance benefits. The packages available for selection offer quarantine compensation payments, travel cancellation insurance or coverage of medical costs.
As part of the VIG Group in Austria, Donau Versicherung has developed a blockchain solution for submitting offers in corporate business in partnership with the Swiss blockchain start-up Versicherungsix.
