The insurance gendarme wants to see more clearly on the role that insurers can play in the face of companies shut down by the Covid-19 crisis. On Wednesday, the Prudential Supervisory Authority and resolutions (ACPR) announced that it would draw up a ” state places “ of the business interruption insurance market.
The objective is to shed light on the functioning of these covers. Designed to help companies in the event of a drop or even stop of their activity, these insurances are at the heart of lively controversies. Since the start of the crisis, they have opposed insurers and companies – some of which have decided to go to court – but also insurers between them.
