MENLO PARK – Having a caption option on a video service is a very useful feature. Such features have existed before on video platforms such as YouTube . It seems that now a similar feature will be presented by Instagram in its Stories.
This was revealed by Matt Navarra who shared his findings on Twitter.
Launching from Ubergizmo, Wednesday (10/3/2021), the way this feature works is quite simple. When creating stories, users will find an option to add a text sticker

The sticker serves as a holding point for the text. Users will be able to choose from a variety of fonts and styles, and once done Instagram will do the rest.
This means that the feature will insert the user’s voice into the video and automatically transcribe it into text so that people can read what’s going on instead of hearing it.
It’s not certain how good or accurate the feature is transcripts this is mainly because the accent and the way people speak differ from one another.
However, this feature will certainly be useful for many users. So, make sure your Instagram is in the latest version, because this feature is still in the distribution stage.
