Instagram is a social network, but that doesn’t mean your profile has to be public. Here we will explain how you can put your account Instagram in private mode so that only the followers you authorize can see your profile and content. This is a basic security and privacy measure that will benefit you if you want to keep your account more secure.
Steps to make your Instagram profile private
- Open the app of Instagram on your cell phone and go to your profile, touching on your photo, in the lower right corner.
- Click on the three lines icon in the upper right corner and within the menu, tap on “Settings”.
- In the options menu that appears, choose “Privacy” and within it, at the top, you will see the option “Account privacy”.
- Right in this section is where you will have access to make your account private. You just have to press the side slider to complete the process.
