JAKARTA – Instagram has launched a new capability for Reels, where the company now allows users to reply to comments on Reels uploads via the Reels Visual Replies feature.
So when the user wants to reply to a comment, the user will be presented with the option to reply by making a video reply via the Reels button. The social media giant said video replies would appear as stickers.

TikTok launched the feature last year to give users a way to offer more context about their videos and answer questions. It’s no surprise that Instagram adopted the feature for its own TikTok clone.
Launching Reels Visual Replies comes as Instagram also rolls out some new features. Not long ago, the company introduced a time capsule feature “Playback” Stories. This feature takes advantage of Stories Archive, so users can customize and select up to 10 Stories to share with their followers.
To be eligible for this feature, users must post more than three Stories this year or activate Stories Archive. If the user doesn’t like Stories selected by Instagram, the user can change it and choose another.
In addition, the company is now also testing a new feature dubbed “Take a Break” which allows users to remind themselves to take a break from Instagram after 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
