In 2014, Sunset Overdrive was released for the first time, an Xbox One exclusive from Insomniac Games, which, despite its low sales, had managed to find its audience. The players stood out from this wacky experience with the desire to dive back into this universe. Today, Insomniac Games intends to rekindle the flame in the hearts of players by posting a new image of Sunset Overdrive on Twitter.
Following the publication of an image of Sunset Overdrive on the official Insomniac Games Twitter account, the internet wonders if the studio is making an important announcement.
Some players hope that this new screenshot announces the return of the Sunset Overdrive saga with for example the arrival of a certain Sunset Overdrive 2 on the next Sony console, or a port of the first installment on PlayStation 4. However, Sony announced during September when buyout of Insomniac Games that the Japanese company was primarily focused on the future. Wearing old Insomniac Games productions was not the first priority.
We just have to wait and hope that Insomniac Games will communicate on the future of the license in the coming days. As a reminder, Sunset Overdrive first of the name is also available on PC.
