Innovations for education and information access in focus

The third call for tenders in the new innovation program for business models and pioneering solutions starts on November 24th (IGP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The focus is then on innovations for education and information access with a high “social” Impact“; Innovative small and medium-sized companies are eligible to apply, including Start-ups, Freelancers and nonprofits.

You can submit your requests to participate in the form of a short, concise sketch by February 2, 2021 – alone, in association with other companies or together with scientific partners. The focus is on entrepreneurial solutions; the concepts should be economically sustainable, for example thanks to the corresponding sales potential. The funding is open to all sectors, i.e. applicants outside the education and information access sectors are also welcome, provided they develop the innovations addressed in the call for proposals.

The IGP started at the end of 2019 as a pilot funding. In the first two bidding rounds of the IGP The funding focused on digital and data-driven innovations as well as innovations in the cultural and creative industries. The upcoming third round of tenders closes the pilot phase of the IGP for which a total of around 35 million euros are available.
