Initially there were other plans; But I said I will not do the film without Aditi at least: Dev Mohan
Dev Mohan made his film debut with Sufiyum Sujatham directed by Shanavas Naranipuzha. Shakunthalam, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is Dev’s upcoming film.
In an interview with Behindwoods, Dev Mohan talks about acting opposite an all-India superstar like Aditi Rao in his very first film.
When asked if he knew that Aditi was the heroine while doing Sufi and Sujata, the actor first responded with a funny response.
“Aditi was not initially planned for the film. But then after that I said that I will not do this film without Aditi at least.
Then they also said that they can call Aditi (laughter). What else can I say,” said Dev Mohan.
Dev also talks about Aditi Rao’s arrival in Sufi and Sujatha’s film in the interview.
Aditi wasn’t really what I was thinking of at first. Initially, there were other plans. And it went on for days. And it took some time to land on that right person.
That’s how Vijay sir felt such an option when he met the guest. I was asked if I could act with Aditi,”
The actor also talks about acting with Samantha in Shakunthalam.
“Samantha is the heroine,” he said. I thought chumma was telling me to play catch up and said ok ok. Then I realized that they are serious.
And I thought, oh, okay, I’ll do the next one with Samantha (laughter). And what can I say,” the actor said with a smile.
