The Institute of the National Fund for Workers’ Housing (Infonavit) increased the maximum credit amount to 2 million 407 thousand 347 pesos buy a new or existing house, depending on the economic capacity, salary level, as well as the age of those entitled.

In Crediterreno, from November 21st of this year the credit term is changed from 5 to 15 years, at the beneficiary’s choice, the feasibility of ground services is accepted (prove that you are authorized to have them, payment receipt is no longer required); the obligation to submit to the SAT proof of withholding tax has been eliminated; The age for applying for credit has been raised to 70.
Starting in December, a Mejoravit modifies the maximum credit terms, at the choice of the beneficiary (12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42 and 48 months); It is permitted to improve a home other than one’s own (spouse, domestic partner, children, adopted children, siblings, half-siblings, parents, in-laws or grandparents); a new loan can be requested two months after having paid the previous one; the criteria of the catalog of purchasable products are expanded; the age for applying for credit rises to 70 years.
According to Infonavit, these changes are intended to meet people’s real housing needsand add to the range of financial options offered by the institution, such as Unamos Creditos, ConstruYO, Infonavit Account + Bank Credit, Crediterreno and the New Credit Scheme in Pesos.
The opening hours will also be extended on Friday 18 November and the service will be provided on Saturday 19 November at all Infonavit Service Centers (Cesi). Both days the focus will be from 08.30 to 18.00. Normally the hours of service are from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 14:30.
