Infonavit in Hidalgo Grants Thousands of Loans for Home Improvements

The regional delegate of Infonavit in Hidalgo, Canek Vazquez, announced that, from 2019 to September 2023, the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) in the state has granted 4,685 loans designed to allow people to make improvements, repairs or expansions to their homes. What makes these loans even more attractive is that they offer significantly lower interest rates than most consumer loans granted by commercial banks.

Infonavit Hidalgo is proud to address the real needs of workers, recognizing that not everyone is looking to purchase a new home. In addition to helping workers, these initiatives also promote the economic development of the country, since the placement of these improvement credits has generated an economic benefit of more than 200 million pesos.

Variety of improvement credits at Infonavit

Infonavit in Hidalgo offers a variety of improvement credits, designed to meet the diverse needs of workers:

• Mejoravit Repairs: Offers a loan of up to 37,844 pesos with a fixed annual interest rate of 10%. It is aimed at people with a current employment relationship.
• Mejoravit Renews: Provides a credit of up to 149,485 pesos with a fixed annual interest rate of 11%. It is also aimed at people with a current employment relationship.
• BetterSo: This loan can reach up to 139,109 pesos and has a fixed annual interest rate of 0%. It is intended for independent workers.

In addition, there is the option of applying for the “ConstruYO” credit, which allows you to make improvements that affect the structure of the home, such as knocking down a wall, building a new bathroom or even adding an additional floor to the house.
