Inflation continues to rise: energy is more expensive, food prices have fallen | Economy

Compared to a year ago, energy in particular has become more expensive. During the corona crisis last year, those prices were very low. This means that natural gas is more than 25 percent more expensive today than a year ago, and electricity more than 10 percent. Filling up with diesel and petrol costs about 16 percent more today.

Food has become cheaper again. On average, food prices are 1.21 percent lower than a year ago. For example, fruit and vegetables have become more than 7 percent cheaper, for potatoes that is almost 10 percent.
