Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward received backlash from Call of Duty gamers for their latest response to Warzone cheats.
Since Modern Warfare released its free-to-play battle royale, Warzone, on March 10, it has attracted many of the top game content creators, as well as millions of gamers across the globe.
Despite its incredible popularity, Warzone and its players have suffered a significant and growing number of cheaters in recent weeks and months, and called on Infinity Ward to resolve the issue.

Infinity Ward a finally posted a response on July 24, revealing that “more waves of bans are coming” and warning players that they will be punished for using mods or hacks in the game.
However, there were mixed reactions to the developer’s statement, with some Call of Duty figures and pro gamers expressing concern over the apparent lack of action taken so far.
Infinity Ward slammed for response to Warzone cheating
CDL analyst and commentator Joe ‘MerK’ DeLuca highlighted the statement, adding later than that “would attract [les tricheurs] more “, and received many responses from pro gamers and streamers who were equally disappointed.
Dallas Empire star James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks also shed light on the response, joking that the cheaters would all stop after Infinity Ward’s warning.

Other players have requested the addition of an anti-cheat to help combat this issue, although it is not clear if Infinity Ward intends to add one anytime soon.
The developers of Warzone have already announced some of these waves of bans for Warzone and Modern Warfare, but this has been followed by complaints from players claiming they were unfairly banned.
