It’s a relief for the Hauts-de-France, particularly affected by the health and economic crisis. In Crespin (North), the manufacturer Bombardier announced Friday, December 4 the creation of new positions assembly lines and new assembly lines. 25 million euros will be invested in 2021 to increase the production of train cars to 1,000 units per year on the leading French railway industrial site. To support the increase in production, Bombardier will create 400 permanent jobs. The company is also considering the local card and will employ former employees of Bridgestone and SKF, companies in the region affected by social plans. “We are fortunate to have a relatively full order book for the years to come”, added Laurent Bouyer, President of Bombardier Transport France. The factory has an order for 400 cars for the RER for Ile-de-France, and 500 cars for regional trains.
