Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) Demands Repayment of IDR 344 Billion Debt from Government – Jakarta News

Jakarta

The Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) will write to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding repayment of the IDR 344 billion debt for the one price cooking oil (rafaksi) program in 2022.

“We will send an open letter. We ask the president to convey this. We have already received the fourth letter, but we have not received a response, and we appreciate that we are busy and don’t have enough time. But as a matter of concern and confusion, we consider that injustice has now occurred. ” said General Chairman of Aprindo Roy Nicholas Mandey, at a press conference in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Thursday (18/1/2024).

Roy said this letter would contain a request for an audience to obtain direct direction for resolving the claimed raffle debt of IDR 344 billion. The hope is that there will be a clear way out to complete the government’s obligations.

“The content is a letter to the honorable Pak Jokowi requesting an audience and asking for directions to resolve the migrant rifaction as head of government. This open letter is part of our hope that we will be heard and find a solution to the rifaction problem,” he explained.

On the other hand, it has been two years since the government has yet to settle this debt. His party admitted that they had done everything they could and complained about this problem to various government agencies to get attention and a solution.

“Tomorrow will be exactly two years without payment. We will start on January 19 2022. The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs has also required immediate communication with the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. That is August 2023, in the letter signed by Deputy I, it is stated that the Ministry of Trade will immediately communicate with the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy,” said he.

Apart from that, Roy said that he had made complaints to the House of Representatives (DPR), the Business Competition Supervisory Commission or KPPU, the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) and the Indonesian Ombudsman.

“You can ask, which of us have we not visited? We have visited all of them. The People’s Representative Council, BPDPKS, KPPU, the Indonesian Ombudsman, the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, we have. All of them also stated that the government must be baar, that is the right of retailers, their obligations must be fulfilled,” he stressed.
