Indonesia Now Has The Largest Solar Panel in Southeast Asia

CIKARANG, – PT Coca Cola Amatil (CCA) Indonesia officially opens operations panel surya roof with a capacity of 7.13 MegaWatt and an area of ​​72,000 square meters in the West Cikarang factory. Panel surya this is said to be the largest in Southeast Asia or ASEAN.

This is because, apart from being in line with the focus on developing new and renewable energy, CCA Indonesia’s steps are also said to be able to assist the government’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“What is done here, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 314 million tons. This is something extraordinary. Mrs. Allison (Group Managing Director of CCA) said earlier, this is tantamount to saving 7,000 vehicles driven for 1 year, “he said in the Inauguration of the Roof. With an area of ​​72,000 square meters, Airlangga said that the solar panels that have CCA Indonesia are the largest in ASEAN.

Furthermore, Airlangga hopes that the installation of solar panels can be carried out at other CCA factories.

“So of course, if it can be done, I am sure it is not number 2 in Asia Pacific, but number 1 in Asia Pacific,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul UIum, wants this step to be carried out by other factories in the region.

“To reduce air pollution, which we feel the more we feel over time,” he said.
