The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Turin has filed the requests for indictment for the Juveunderstood as a legal person, Andrea Agnelli and 11 other suspects as part of the Prisma investigation. The request, more precisely, in addition to the club and the now former Juventus president, concerns the former vice president Pavel Nedved, Fabio ParaticiMarco Re, Stefano Bertola, Stefano Cerrato, Cesare Gabasio, Maurice ArrivabeneFrancesco Roncaglio, Enrico Vellano, Stefania Boschetti and Roberto Grossi. Instead, the names of Paolo Piccatti, Nicoletta Paracchini and Silvia Lirici have been removed. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has also renounced the appeal against the investigating judge’s decision not to grant pre-trial detention measures: the prosecutors had previously requested the disqualification from office for Agnelli and other executives, motivating it with the risk of approving another distorted balance sheet (recurrence of the crime), a requirement that failed with the resignations of the president and the board of directors.
The allegations underlying the request for indictment are those already contained in the conclusion of the preliminary investigations: artificial capital gains, false news relating to the salary case, false accounting, false corporate communications, market manipulation, fraudulent declarations with the use of invoices for non-existent operations and obstacle to supervisory authorities. From now on, the Gup has five days to set the date of the hearing – within the limit of 30 days – in which the same judge will decide whether to start the procedure that will lead to the trial or whether to reject the request. The date of any process will therefore necessarily be known before the next Shareholders’ Meeting called for 18 January 2023, during which the new Board of Directors and the new chairman will be appointed in the person of Gianluca Ferrero.
