In the city of Jalandhar and the surrounding area, people can see the tops of the mountains in the Himalayas, some 200 kilometers away, for the first time in decades.

An investigation revealed that air pollution had decreased in 85 Indian cities during the first week of the lockdown. In Delhi it had even dropped by 44 percent.
