Incidence over 200: The 15-kilometer radius currently applies in these districts

The measures to contain the coronavirus have reached a new level with the introduction of a range of motion for rural and urban districts with high levels of infection. Regions are affected with an incidence value of more than 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

As Chancellor Angela Merkel announced in the first week of January, the 15 kilometer radius around one’s own place of residence (not the house /the apartmentbut the local border) can only be left if there are good reasons, for example for trips to the doctor or to work. The main aim of this measure is to curb excursion traffic – especially from day tourists.

Overall, the incidence currently exceeds the 200 mark in 67 districts. But the 15-kilometer rule does not automatically apply in all federal states (districts in which, despite an incidence of over 200, there is no restricted range of motion italic marked).
