During the winter of 2013-2014, Quimperlé was affected by the floods, which particularly damaged an area located in the historic center of the lower town near the Isole, one of the three rivers that flows through our city. The necessary work to save the banks was an opportunity to redevelop this space in the city center.
To do this, the City called on visual artist Yann Kersalé who uses light to make art, as others use multiple expression materials.
“The blue path” is part of the “water and landscapes” theme of the application for a country of art and history submitted by Quimperlé community.
The Chemin Bleu des berges de l’Isole, inaugurated on June 10, 2016, is the first stage of a light journey. This project continues today in different sectors of our city in order to offer a contemporary vision of our heritage and continue to beautify our city.
