The Dean of the College of Education at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Ali Najmi, will inaugurate the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, October 10, the first World Mental Health Day Forum, which is organized by the College’s Psychology Department under the slogan Mental Health is a Universal Human Right, with the participation of more than 100 male and female specialists, in addition to academics and students specializing in psychological sciences. .
The head of the Psychology Department at the College of Education, Dr. Abdul-Ilah Al-Qarni, confirmed that the forum, which coincides with World Mental Health Day, is part of the community participations that the department is keen to present to all segments of society, to contribute to raising public awareness of mental health issues, improving the lifestyle of the individual and the family, and building… A society whose members enjoy a balanced lifestyle, to contribute to enhancing the quality of life in line with the nation’s Vision 2030.
Awareness initiatives
Dr. Al-Qarni indicated that the forum, in which a number of sponsoring sectors of civil society institutions in the private sector will participate, will include many specialized lectures and awareness-raising initiatives, through a pavilion with multiple scientific topics and psychological studies.
In addition to dialogue and discussion between specialists, male and female academics in the field of psychology, to spread awareness and enrich the scientific experience of students and attendees regarding everything related to mental health and to demonstrate its importance, so that their mental and physical health are integrated to continue giving in the service of religion and the nation.
