“Inauguration of New Food Gas Pipeline to America: A Historic Moment for Development”

The senator for the Fourth Electoral Section Juanci Martínez confirmed through his social networks the inauguration date of the new Food Gas Pipeline to America, whose efforts the legislator himself began in 2022, forming a working group with the Secretary of Energy, Camuzzi and SHIPPING. The start-up of the Gas Pipeline will be on May 9.

“It will be a historic moment for our district, which can mark a before and after in both productive and social development,” said the legislator, after confirming the date after a meeting with authorities from Camuzzi and ENARGAS and in the City Autonomous of Buenos Aires.

In addition, Martínez specified that “we are also evaluating alternatives for expanding the home network. These are years of lack of investment and planning that are not resolved in a few months, but we are looking for a way to carry out works so that gas reaches more neighbors in America”.

At the same time, he recounted that they are working together with ENARGAS and Banco Nación for the execution of the “My first flame” program, a line of personal credits to help residents who cannot afford the connection costs or installation adaptations to the grid.

The owner, Osvaldo Pitrau, and the general manager, Guido Goñi, were present for ENARGAS. On behalf of the Camuzzi company, Robert Steven, Interior Business Unit Manager, participated in the meeting.

The work

The New Gas Pipeline that will connect the neighboring town of Trenque Lauquen with America, will reduce logistics costs in the supply of gas for the company and for users, will enable access to supply for more residents, and will free supply capacity for the neighboring towns of Carlos Tejedor, González Moreno, Berutti and Urdampilleta.

The work, which was carried out along 72 kilometers, will also allow for greater operational safety and will improve road safety, since it will represent a decrease in the circulation of bottled gas trucks on the routes of northwest Buenos Aires.
