The question: “Which country was Adolf Hitler’s birth?” When the answer was shown as Austria, the portrait of the dictator of Nazi Germany was suddenly shown on the screen.
This has now also been recognized by the Spartans themselves. Athletics Director Matt Larson commented on the incident as follows: “MSU is aware that inappropriate content from a third source was shown on the video board before the start of the game.” And further: “We deeply regret the incident because he does not represent the values of our football program or the university.”
