The new head of office grew up in Triefenstein in the Main-Spessart district and Wertheim. She lived in Heidelberg for the past 17 years. For almost ten years she worked for the city of Heidelberg, particularly in business development, but also in the Mayor’s department in the field of international relations. A few months ago she returned home with her family and settled in Marktheidenfeld.
Although she would have had the opportunity to continue working for the city of Heidelberg, she decided to take on this new professional challenge: “The Main-Tauber district is part of my home. I would like to take the opportunity to actively help shape it. “

“Committed Troop”
District Administrator Christoph Schauder assured the new head of the office that she would have a “good and committed team” at her disposal. It is also a stroke of luck that the previous head of department and his designated successor work in the district office at the same time for a few weeks, which means that a good handover and knowledge transfer are possible. In this context, Schauder thanked the district administrator of the Würzburg district, Thomas Eberth, with whom he had mutually agreed on the transfer.
The District Administrator thanked the outgoing Head of Office Rico Neubert for his valuable work. He assured that his activities in the neighboring Bavarian district would be closely followed and that contact would not be severed. In the future, for example, there will be opportunities for dialogue at the regular rounds of talks between the Würzburg and Main-Tauber district offices. He fully understands that Neubert has decided to move to Würzburg, where he lives with his family and can therefore do without the daily commute.
As District Administrator Schauder further said, “all 18 cities and municipalities in the Main-Tauber district have a good connection to the District Office”, it is the link between the municipal level as well as the state and the federal government. In this context, the Kreis-Wirtschaftsförderung, headed by Rico Neubert, has succeeded in building an extremely good reputation among the municipalities in recent years. “We not only want to maintain this good reputation in the future, but also further expand our commitment to business development,” he said to the future head of office.
Ina Nolte, Business Development Manager (VWA), was born in Marktheidenfeld and graduated from the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium in Wertheim. She then studied international business in Heidelberg and achieved a bachelor’s degree. This was followed by a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), also in the city on the Neckar.

Ina Nolte then stayed in Heidelberg and began her career in business development at the city administration. In addition to advising companies from industry, trade, medium-sized businesses and retailers interested in settling in or expanding in Heidelberg, she advised companies on issues relating to economic development issues. She also led the advisory network of the “Heidelberger Mittelstandsoffensive” and, together with the project partners, advised small and medium-sized companies on business and personnel-related issues in order to get them out of trouble. In addition, she supported founders in the implementation of their business ideas with words and deeds.
In 2016 she moved to the Mayor’s department in the field of international relations. In addition to coordinating and supporting the Heidelberg Club International, an association of national and international personalities with roots in Heidelberg, she was instrumental in initiating the city partnerships with Palo Alto (USA) and Hangzhou (China). The organization of numerous events in the national and international environment, project management and networking were always an integral part of her everyday work.
Returned
At the beginning of 2019 she returned to economic development and took over the project coordination of the Heidelberg Innovation Park. Together with internal and external partners, she not only set the course for the development and marketing of the area with a focus on IT, but also initiated the first digital projects and was the contact person for broadband expansion at the business development agency.
Rico Neubert came to the Main-Tauber District District Office in Stuttgart in 2008 after working in the state parliament administration and was employed there in business development from the start. After the dissolution of the Main-Tauber Economic Development Agency, the Saxon native moved to the newly established office, which initially carried the title Structural Development, Economic Development and Tourism and was appointed Head of Office in June 2014. The first challenges for the new office included the creation of a future concept for the Main-Tauber district and the award of the district’s future award for the first time. From the start, he impressed with his structured and committed way of working, said head of the department Ursula Mühleck.
Other topics included, for example, the “Training Ambassador” initiative, the “Career at home” and “Future Main-Tauber” campaigns, as well as support for the “Leader” and ELR funding programs. Rico Neubert was not only the district’s European Commissioner, but also earned the unofficial title of “Mister Broadband” with his work. Ursula Mühleck summarized the topic of broadband expansion from the start.
The topics of climate protection and energy were added later. “The office has changed and has grown, but has always kept its finger on the pulse of the times with its issues,” was the head of the department.
