THE Botafogo halted negotiations for reinforcements for the 2022 season at the request of the American businessman John Textor. This is what the newspaper “O Globo” reports on Monday. The club is in transition to SAF (Sociedad Anónima do Futebol).
With five signings so far (Klaus, Fabinho, Breno, Vinícius Lopes e Erison), the club was practically settled with Oscar Romero and in advanced conversations with Elkeson.
According to “O Globo”, John Textor asked for a pause in negotiations and took the names to be analyzed by the intelligence sector of the Crystal Palace. Botafogo maintains contact with the businessmen, but is waiting for the green light to move forward.
