Robert Walzer (1878–1956) is a prominent author of modernism, an important figure in 20th century German and Swiss literature. In his work, he has charmingly and originally used elements of the Swiss German language, as well as mixed very personal observations with metatexts, including variations and reflections on other literary works. Walter, as a harbinger of postmodernism, has combined different styles, street language and a very high register. His works have not been translated into Latvian so far. Valzers is part of the wider European literary heritage, which is now available to Latvian readers. Writer and publicist Suzanne Sontaga called Walzer the missing link between Kleist and Kafka. The novel was translated from German by Dens Dimiņš.

Arkady Dragomoshchenko (1946–2012) is one of the most significant and influential Russian poets of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, who has noticed the unification of Russian Soviet unofficial intellectual traditions and Western, especially American, poetry and peculiar prose. currents of contemporary literature. Dragomoshchenko expanded the possibilities of verlibra in Russian poetry.
