A rather unusual project: In the building of the Kreissparkasse in Pößneck-Ost, the integrative Arche Noah kindergarten wants to move into transitional quarters. Those responsible clarify details.

Pößnecker day care center Arche Noah wants to move three months in February 2022 due to construction work – to the local savings bank
–
The integrative Noah’s Ark kindergarten is expected to leave its traditional villa in the Pößneck district of Köstitz in mid-February 2022. By mid-May they will move into the rather unusual accommodation in Pößneck-Ost for a daycare center – the building of the Kreissparkasse Saale-Orla. While on the lower floor you can still agree on loans, collect bank statements and withdraw money, up to 55 one to six year olds can compete with eight carers on the upper floor. In terms of contract, almost everything is in sackcloth, now it’s about the operating permit to be issued by the Ministry of Education in Erfurt. A hundred and one details have yet to be clarified, and nine people in charge turned up on Wednesday morning.
This also included the one who will issue the operating permit. Silke Listemann from the Thuringian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport also asked questions about safety, fire protection, sanitary facilities, escape routes, parking spaces, sleeping options, nutrition and exercise during the two and a half hour appointment.

Details, details and even more details
The move is necessary because important renovation work on the heating system and final electrical work are pending. These cannot be carried out while the daycare center is in operation, because that means noise and dirt. Of course, painting will also be necessary. The temporary use of the event and training room on the upper floor of the Sparkasse building for the four groups of Noah’s Ark can be achieved with comparatively little effort. Movable wall elements separate areas, toilets can be converted to suit children. An elevator is available to lock certain doors. An employee from the health department described in detail the effects of possible viral diseases in the winter half-year and what was necessary to curb this. The experts drilled through dozens of regulations, from the height of the handrails and water samples to the child-friendly cloakroom. Quite instructive and there were always puzzled looks from some participants.
Raids and other thoughts
Ministry employee Listemann meanwhile threw in an unusual question. She wanted to know what would happen if a robbery took place. Not much, replied Kevin Rüdiger, construction expert at the Kreissparkasse. A silent alarm is triggered. And: Access to the “replacement day care center” separated from the floor is not possible without an access card or code and an internal door opener. There is no reason for a crook to go upstairs.
If the day care center is run by Diakonie Orlatal and receives the operating permit for the three months, which is not a major hurdle from Silke Listemann’s point of view, the move should be prepared from February 1st. Furniture, hygiene articles and toys should be packed, among other things. On the 11th of the month, according to current ideas, the day care center in Köstitz should be closed. The move will take place afterwards, so that operations in the bank’s building can start on that Monday, February 14th. The alternative quarters are to be closed by May 13th at the latest, so that normal operations can be resumed in the renovated house in Köstitz after the move on May 16th.
“Earlier is always possible,” commented the responsible architect Karin Stoll. On the way, the ministry employee gave those involved – in addition to the documents to be submitted – to think about the fact that a new update would be necessary to regain the operating permit when the head office is moved back into. There have already been daycare centers in a similar situation that moved back in silently, without the knowledge of the Ministry of Education. Incidentally, including the so-called SGB 8, in which the “reliability of the carrier” has recently been checked.
