JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The striker of the League 2 club of North Sulawesi United, Patrich Wanggai, was sentenced by the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) for his act of showing off his genitals.
Wanggai’s disgraceful act occurred during the last 8 League 2 Group Y match that brought together Martapura Dewa United against North Sulawesi United on Monday (12/20/2021).
In that match, North Sulawesi United lost 2-0 to Dewa United, thanks to goals from Herman Dzumafo and Rishadi Fauzi.
The round of 8 match was indeed quite hot. It was so hot, North Sulawesi United coach Ricky Nelson had to be sent off by the referee for pushing Dewa United’s players.
While Wanggai, he was in the spotlight when he was withdrawn in the 79th minute to be replaced by Dilivio Rycard.
It was when he left the field that Wanggai was caught on camera showing his genitals from behind his pants towards the stands.
The actions taken by Wanggai then invited reactions from netizens who criticized him a lot through the comments column on his social media account.
For the less commendable actions of Wanggai, the PSSI Disciplinary Committee finally sentenced the former Cilegon RANS player.
From the results of the PSSI Disciplinary Committee session on Tuesday (12/21/2021) which was released on Thursday (12/23/2021), Wanggai was declared to have committed a violation, namely provoking the community.
“During the substitution of players, leaving the field made inappropriate movements by showing their genitals even though they were wearing pants towards the audience,” wrote PSSI.
