In the absence of a festival in Angoulême, the comic strip enters stations all over France

Faced with the pandemic and the postponement of the Angoulême festival to June, the comic strip found refuge this winter in more than 40 stations in France. A new way to present all the albums selected for the Fauves d’Angoulême 2021 which will be awarded on January 29.

The 48th edition of the Angoulême International Comic Strip Festival should have been held at the end of January. The covid-19 epidemic decided otherwise, forcing the organizers to split the event into two parts, the award ceremony and an exhibition devoted to Emmanuel Guibert from January, a meeting on site next June.

In the meantime, the Angoulême Festival and SNCF Gares & Connexions have joined forces to make the ninth art accessible to as many people as possible. And what better place than the stations, present everywhere on the national territory, could meet this objective?

Since December and until mid-February, 41 stations, from Marseille to Lille, from Rennes to Strasbourg, via Paris, Toulouse and Caen have opened their doors and their halls to 119 artists, 108 exhibitions, 85 books and 48 publishers.
