In Russia, the Uralmash defense plant is on fire after explosions – LB.ua news

In Yekaterinburg, Russia, on April 1, a fire broke out at one of the largest defense plants, Uralmash.

As reported Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, from open sources it became known that the fire was preceded by an explosion, after which a column of black smoke rose above the plant.

“According to one of the information sources, a workshop for the production of transformers, in which there are 7 thousand liters of lubricant, caught fire. The area of ​​the fire has already reached 4,500 square meters,” the Ukrainian ministry said in a statement.

“Uralmash” manufactures equipment for metallurgy, mining and energy industry.
