During this Saturday, more than 30 animals, including dogs, cats and horses, are waiting for loving families to adopt them.
Many of these animals were abandoned, abused, rescued and found in pastures; and now they want the opportunity to have a family.

As stated by Liliana Sierra, director of the Special Administrative Unit for Animal Protection of Cali-Uaepa, assures that; “The idea of this day of adoption is that the caleños come and meet some of the animals that we havefall in love with them and accept a new member in their families”.
Additionally, he adds that; “People who adopt pets, They are going to have very large incentives, they are going to have free consultations for a year; They will also have the entire vaccination scheme and the sterilization of their pet for free“.
To be able to adopt an animal You must be of legal age, show that you have enough income to cover the cats of the animal; and have adequate facilities to maintain the species to be adopted, be it a horse, a dog or a cat; fill out a form, receive a visit and the animal is assigned to you.
For his part, Carlos Andres Arias, Councilor of Cali, assures that; “We invite all people to adopt and not buy; there are many animals that need our love, there are many animals that are on the street and mistreated”.
Finally, the Councilor concludes that; “there is already an animal welfare center located in commune 19where it has very modern facilities and new equipment to care for all the animals”.
