General Salou Djibo has just been nominated candidate for the future presidential election to be held at the end of 2020. He was inducted, Sunday evening, by his party Peace-Justice-Progress.
It is under the colors of his party the PJP that the former head of the military junta, who overthrew Mamadou Tanja in 2010, decided to be a candidate in the future presidential election. In a sports hall full of activists, candidate Salou Djibo, 55, said after his inauguration: ” It is aware of the challenges Niger faces and that we have no choice but to fight to succeed or perish, that I decided to be a candidate in the coming presidential elections ” And the candidate Salou Djibo added: ” I pledge to the people of Niger to do politics differently ».
