It is the monument to the dead of Anglet that framed the homage, on Monday 5 December (date chosen by President Chirac) to the 24,000 who died for France during the war in Algeria and during the fighting in Morocco and Tunisia. . Chaired by sub-prefect Philippe Le Moing-Surzur, it was celebrated by elected officials of the three BAB cities: the mayor of Anglet Claude Olive, the municipal councilor of Bayonne Serge Arcouet, the deputy mayor of Biarritz Anne Pinatel, but also the deputy of the sixth district Vincent Bru and departmental adviser Patrick Chasseriaud.
