The love of music, especially large groups and soloists, has led to the formation of In Memory Band, which has its premiere today, at 8:00 p.m., at the José Saramago House of Culture in the capital.
Fran Heredia, the creator of this formation, the guitarist who decided to take the step forward to make this project a reality in which he has embarked several friends, commented to La Tribuna de Albacete that “I had in mind to go back to the beginning for a long time, because I started as a musician, as a guitarist, with this type of groups, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Boston, Scorpions, Led Zeppelin or Queen, among others, so In Memory Band is to recreate ourselves in this and bring out all these mythical themes on stage that they are still playing mythical groups from the 70s and 80s, but it is not a tribute to the groups themselves, rather to certain songs that those groups made and have remained alive».
Today, warned Fran Heredia, “you put on an FM radio station, the kind we all know, specialized in rock and the repertoire we carry, on the one-hour trip in the car, more than half appear, because they are also themes that all the musicians, guitarists and bands keep playing and that was the idea of the group».
This veteran in the world of music no longer questions whether or not this project has a place in what is done today, although he believes it does and tries to do everything, he has even had an orchestra for open-air festivals and parties for years, “but A time has come when I wanted, musically speaking, to go back to my origins. I took my first steps with the guitar listening to Deep Purple’s Made in Japan, so it’s like getting back on the bike you had when you were younger, I was excited and those songs have always been there, which I’ve taken, for example , in the car and wanted to do it live. I got together with a series of friends and told them about the project.
