In Kyrgyzstan, Covid-19 is used to treat a poisonous plant infusion

In Kyrgyzstan, doctors are using an infusion of Covid-19, a highly poisonous herb of the herb (Aconitum soongaricum) or Isikula, to treat patients, Health Minister Alimkadir Beechenaliyev said.

“About 200 coronavirus patients use Isikula root in inpatient care. We give it to patients who suffer from a mild form of the disease, no one has died, “said the Minister.

According to him, clinical trials of the drug developed for the treatment of Covid-19 are currently underway in the country.

“The third phase of clinical trials for this product is underway. As soon as the validity of the preparation becomes known, we intend to register it, ”the Minister stated.

This drug should be taken hot, stressed Beechenyalev.

“If you drink them cold, you will die within five minutes,” he warned.

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Health noted that this plant has been widely used in folk medicine in the past, not only in Kyrgyz, but also in Chinese and other nations.

“However, its effects on the body can be very dangerous, even fatal. It should be handled with great care and never used on its own, ”said a source in the ministry.

The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a statement on Friday stating that the WHO had no data on the effectiveness of Aconitum soongaricum used in Kyrgyzstan.-

‘A product that has not undergone clinical trials cannot be authorized and recommended for general use in the general population. The WHO does not currently have data on the efficacy and safety of Aconitum soongaricum in the treatment of Covid-19, ”the statement said.
