In Dijon, e-Vadea opens its first charging stations on the APRR motorways

Engaged for ten years in the creation of multi-operator recharging points, the APRR motorways welcomes a new ultra-fast recharging operator, e-Vadea, led by SPIE actors CityNetworks and DEMETER through the Fund for the modernization of ecological transport, which opens eight stations simultaneously. The APRR and AREA motorways thus continue to set up charging stations for users of electric vehicles. Almost 90% of the service areas are now equipped.

8 e-Vadea stations installed on the main highways

Selected following a tender closed in spring 2022, the operator e-Vadea is setting up its first very high power charging stations here. Unpublished in France, they are now operational on:

– Besançon Champoux and Besançon Marchaux rest area on the A36, in the Doubs. Each one has 5 terminals, 6 charging points and all the connectors on the market: CCS, T2, CHAdeMO.
– Aire du Chien Blanc on the A6, in Côte-D’Or: 7 terminals, 8 charging points and CCS, T2, CHAdeMO connectors – Opening Tuesday morning 27/12
– Dijon Brognon area in both directions Beaune-Toul -Beaune, on the A31 in Côte-D’Or: 5 terminals in the direction of Beaune-Toul and 6 in the opposite direction, 6 charging points in the direction of Beaune-Toul and 7 in the direction opposite and all connectors on the market: CCS, T2, CHAdeMO.
– Bourg Teyssonge area, on the A40 in Ain: 5 terminals, 6 charging points and CCS, T2, CHAdeMO connectors.
– Lorraine Sandaucourt La Trelle area on the A31, in the Vosges: 5 terminals, 6 charging points and CCS, T2, CHAdeMO connectors.
– Plessis Picard Ourdy area, on the A5 in Seine-et-Marne: 7 terminals, 8 charging points and CCS, T2, CHAdeMO connectors.

Each new e-Vadea station is equipped upon opening from 5 to 12 recharging points, each capable of delivering up to 300 kW (300 km of range in 20 minutes) which, depending on demand, can be upgraded. An offer that covers 100% of the needs of several vehicles recharging at the same time and with all the connectors available on the market (CCS, T2, CHAdeMO).

Each of the stations has a luminous signal of use of the terminals, a LED strip on the awning, as well as a sign on the ground with the powers. These modern and ergonomic bays can also accommodate long or trailered vehicles, as well as commercial vehicles.

“A few months ago, the Fastned operator set up on our highways. We are proud today to welcome a newcomer to the market, e-Vadea. Thanks to this unique network and multi-operator offer, we now facilitate long-distance travel to ski resorts in the Alps, Germany, Switzerland or even the south of France. Today our customers can recharge their vehicle for a stop at our motorway rest areas. And that’s just the beginning: with the rise of electric vehicles, we’re already planning extensions to the number of charging points. Our stations have been designed in such a way as to allow this and meet the needs of motorists as much as possible,” explains Guillaume Hérent, CEO of APRR and AREA.
