In Crimea, the situation with drinking water aggravated: storage facilities may soon become empty

The inflow of water into natural runoff reservoirs in the Russian-occupied Crimea decreased and in million cubic meters was: Belogorskoe – 2.83, Simferopol – 0.534, Schastlivoe – 0.718, Chernorechenskoe – 2.19. In May, there was 2.9-25 mm of precipitation or 7-35% of the norm in the river basins.

It is reported by Hydrometeorological center… The most significant lack of precipitation was felt in the basins of the Kacha, Belbek, Chernaya and Salgir rivers. They were of a short-term nature and were greatest mainly in the lowland areas on May 16 and 29.

In the Crimean Mountains, there was again a significant shortage of precipitation: Ai-Petri – 16 mm (24% of the norm), Angarsk Pass – 16.8 mm (22% of the norm).

The total total water reserve in the reservoirs by the beginning of summer amounted to 79.24 million cubic meters. This is 6.531 million cubic meters less than a month ago and 5.92 million cubic meters less than in 2020.
