in Côte-d’Or winter sports shops between highs and lows

Who wants to buy alpine skis and the shoes that go with them? This equipment is piling up on the shelves of sports stores and should not find a buyer this year, since the closure of the ski lifts is prolonged.

“We decided to give 25% discounts on this equipment, in addition to the classic sales” specifies Olivier Pic, in charge of the “mountain” department at the Decathlon store in Quétigny. “Obviously, we don’t sell much at the moment. Our losses should however remain limited because this equipment will be put on sale again next winter, and then we are making up for other items. We have a strong demand for sleds and snowshoes, It’s going very quickly. We’re not going to reorganize our shelves right away, because from the end of February, we switch to other outdoor sporting goods. “

Obviously, we are all changing our habits, because in the nearby massifs like the Jura, the snow is definitely there, and we want to take advantage of it. then head for hiking and cross-country skiing.
