Islamabad: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that he will contest elections even if he forms a new party if PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) is banned. He was reacting to the Pakistan government’s move to ban PTI. The government is moving to ban the party because of the May 9 riots related to the arrest of Imran Khan.
“I will contest the election by any means, even if I am disqualified and jailed, my party will win,” he responded.
In connection with the arrest of Imran Khan in the High Court on May 9, Imran Khan’s supporters had infiltrated military centers and created riots. 102 people related to riots are facing trial in military court.
