From Sunday January 10, the curfew is advanced to 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m.
Shops, personal service establishments and the like will have to close from 6 p.m. The takeaway will stop at 6 p.m. but home delivery will remain possible for restaurateurs.
Measure taken by the Prefect Fabien Sudry
The measure was decided by the Prefect of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and Prefect of Côte-d’Or. It applies from Sunday January 10 in all the municipalities of the department, until Sunday January 24, 2021.
Why the implementation of such a measure?
The incidence rate of the epidemic in the department is 218.4 per 100,000 inhabitants among the general population and 239.2 per 100,000 inhabitants among those over 65.
In both cases, it exceeds the threshold of 200 set by the Government to consider anticipating the curfew at 6 p.m.

High hospital blood pressure
Otherwise, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is 87.88%, a rate well above the national average. Hospital tension therefore remains high.
This measure is therefore essential to fight the intensification of our epidemic dynamic, as well as the vaccination policy deployed for EHPAD residents, staff over 65 (or with co-morbidities) and, from January 18 , people over 75 living at home.
Derogation still in force
The exemptions that were used before Sunday January 10 will remain so for this new curfew.
You must always have a certificate, which can be downloaded from the Government’s website (www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus/couvre-feu), on that of the Ministry of the Interior (www.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L-actu-du-Ministere/Attestations-de-deplacementcouvre- feu) or on the TousAntiCovid application.
Are business trips still possible?
Travel related to professional activity will not be affected by the curfew, the reason for exemption for “professional activity” will allow them to be taken into account.
What about the professional activity at home?
Professional activities taking place at the customer’s home may only take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., except for urgent intervention or delivery.
What about child care, education and training?
The advance of the curfew does not call into question the possibility of establishments open to the public or other childcare, teaching, extracurricular activities as well as vocational training structures to continue to welcome their usual public beyond 6 p.m., nor for this public to return home, including by means of collective transportation. School and extracurricular activities beyond 6 p.m. therefore remain authorized.
Travel made by children, pupils, parents and school transport drivers in this context will fall under the exemption for “professional activity,
education and training “. This exemption also includes extracurricular activities, that is to say directly linked to the school establishment and school time.
What about outdoor activities, extracurricular activities and sports activities?
Outdoor leisure activities must end at 6:00 p.m., whether on public roads (walking or jogging), in a natural environment (hiking, hunting, fishing, etc.) or in
outdoor establishment.
The same will apply to extracurricular and sports activities.
Opening of shops on weekends in January
Finally, in addition to these measures, Fabien SUDRY, prefect of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, prefect of Côte-d’Or, has decided to extend the authorization to open shops on Sundays to all weekends. -end of January. This measure will help support economic activity and smooth the distribution of customer flows.
