Immuno-virology professor Guido Vanham advocates mandatory vaccinations for healthcare staff

Now that the aggressive variants of the coronavirus are also increasingly appearing in our country, immuno-virology professor Guido Vanham (University of Antwerp) is advocating that as many people as possible be vaccinated. He focuses mainly on healthcare staff, a large part of whom would not be vaccinated.

“That is difficult to understand, because healthcare workers are in contact with very vulnerable people. Some cannot be vaccinated and others barely respond to the vaccine, so they produce few antibodies,” says Vanham.
