Along with this, the author of VG Tech conducted tests of the performance of the adventure game on new consoles, where two modes are available – with increased resolution or frame rate.
The standard mode is “performance” with 60 frames per second. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the project almost perfectly holds the declared bar, while the resolution ranges from 4K to 1280p on PS5 and 1080p on Xbox Series X.
As the author of the video notes, on PS5 in the “performance” mode, sometimes an unpleasant bug with freezes occurs. They are rare, but they exist now. It is not yet known how common the problem is.
On Xbox Series S during gameplay, in the vast majority of situations, stable 60 FPS, but in cutscenes, the game shows only 30 FPS – on older consoles the same 60 FPS. The resolution, depending on the load, jumps from 720p to 1080p.

Quality mode
But in the “quality” mode, something interesting happened: in the scenes studied, only the PlayStation 5 showed honest 4K without drops – perhaps the game uses dynamic parameters to maintain a stable frequency, but so far they have not been found.
At the same time on Xbox Series X in this mode dynamic 4K… In difficult sequences, the resolution can drop to 1872p, but the game rarely drops below 3840×2160.
Perfect 30 FPS on both consoles.
But on Xbox Series S, a dynamic 1440p is used with drops to 1080p – similar parameters are used in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla… The performance is also almost perfect, but in a couple of scenes the console briefly lost up to 3 FPS.
