If you have had a health problem this year, your opinion is of interest to the France Assos Santé Île-de-France association. An online survey, open to all Ile-de-France residents, was launched by this collective, which brings together fifty-four associations of patients, the elderly, consumers, with disabilities (including AFM-Téléthon, UFC-Que Choisir, Renaloo, APF France Handicap, the League against cancer, the French Federation of Diabetics…). The objective is to make a documented contribution to the regional health project (PRS), which is supposed to determine the major orientations for the next five years.

This PRS should be published in November 2023. It brings together several working groups and a consultation component, which should serve as a roadmap for actors in the health and medico-social sectors of the region until 2028. Among the main axes, These include prevention and the retention of healthcare professionals, as well as the needs of users. Phases of consultation are planned, a survey had also been organized in December by the Regional Health Agency as part of the national council for refoundation, promoted by the government.

“People no longer dare to call 15”

France Assos Santé intends to participate, by means of sufficiently numerous and precise returns: People are called upon to briefly recount the situation experienced and the follow-up given: who did you contact or consult to find a solution to your urgent health problem? Doctor, Samu, firefighter, pharmacist? Has the problem been solved? For what ? How ? The collective hopes to collect several hundred testimonies by the end of March.

“We know that people don’t even dare to call 15 anymore,” says Julie Giraud, coordinator of the Ile-de-France regional delegation. We want to understand what Ile-de-France residents experience when they encounter an urgent health problem, the collection of testimonies will allow us to adapt our proposals to the real experience of the inhabitants of Ile de France”.

The Institut Paris Region barometer for 2022 revealed that a third of Ile-de-France residents have given up medical appointments or postponed treatment for financial reasons or excessive waiting times, in a region plagued by desertification. medical. 96% of Ile-de-France residents are concerned by the lack of doctors, and more than 6 out of 10, very strongly.
