French President Emmanuel Macron said that if Russia, which he described as a rival, wins the Ukraine-Russia war, the reliability of Europe will drop to zero.
Participating in the joint broadcast of France 2 and TF1 televisions, Macron evaluated the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
Macron stated that the war is now on European territory and said, “There is less than 1500 kilometers (distance) between Strasbourg and Lviv.” said.
“If Russia wins the war, Europe’s credibility will drop to zero.” Macron argued that if the Moscow administration wins the war, they will no longer be safe.
“Russia cannot and should not win the war”
Macron pointed out that they are not fighting against Russia and that they will “never make the first attempt” to fight against this country.
French President: “We have only one goal; Russia cannot and should not win the war.” He described this country as an “adversary”.
Regarding sending military troops to Ukraine, Macron said, “All these options are possible, the only responsible for this would be the Moscow regime.” made his assessment.
Macron emphasized that they cannot ignore any possibility of supporting Ukraine.
Noting that the security of France and Europe is also at stake in Ukraine, Macron said, “Wanting peace does not mean giving up on Ukraine.” he said.
Evaluating that France’s nuclear weapons provide assurance to the French, Macron explained that Russia’s victory in this war means that the lives of the French will change.
Macron commented that his country does not have a single second suitable for a high-intensity war.
“I never said Israel had an absolute right to defend itself.” Using the statement, Macron stated that he is in favor of the Palestinians having a state.
On the other hand, Le Monde newspaper claimed that Macron said in front of some guests that “he will have to send military troops to Odessa next year.”
