MEDAN, KOMPAS.TVThe Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) poured a budget of Rp. 2 billion for road paving in the courtyard of the North Sumatra Governor’s Office House on Jalan Sudirman, Medan.

The budget for the asphalting project comes from changes to the 2021 APBD. In the near future, the project will be executed immediately.

It was CV Garuda Nusantara Perkasa that won the tender for the road paving project at the official residence of the North Sumatran Governor.

On the LPSE website, the project tender has been completed. However, the project was controversial because the budget was considered too large.

In addition, this policy is considered inappropriate in the midst of the community’s condition which is still slumped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reported from Kompas.com, in the last few months, the official house was indeed in the stage of renovation, especially on the outside and the garden.

Responding to the polemic about the asphalting project, the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, was not too concerned about it.

According to him, the asphalting project is a natural thing. Especially if that big of a budget is spent on renovating the governor’s official residence.
