The new Corona virus (Covid-19), since its appearance in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late December, has infected 86,000 people and killed 3,000 cases in 58 countries around the world.
A recent study by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that older patients and people with poor health conditions are more likely to die from HIV infection than ordinary people.
The study confirmed that the death rate from the disease is 2.3%, and that the majority of deaths are among people over the age of 60 years.
This is evidenced by the fact that the first death from the virus in the United States was for a man in his fifties, who was suffering from chronic diseases before being diagnosed with Corona.
She explained that the death rate from the virus increases with increasing age, as it is 8% among people between the ages of seventy and eighty eight, while it reaches 15% in people over the age of 80.
Diseases
As for diseases, the study confirmed that the percentage of deaths after infection with the virus for people suffering from heart disease amounted to about 10%, while it reached people who suffer from diabetes about 7.3.
