“The number of hospital admissions must stabilize or decrease in the coming days to make the situation more bearable.”
The hospitals of Franciscus Gasthuis and Vlietland warned about this in a press release this afternoon. According to the hospital umbrella, the intensive care unit is now completely full of corona and non-corona patients.
There are currently 57 proven corona patients in the two hospitals. Of these, 44 are in the Gasthuis location (Rotterdam) and 13 in the Vlietland (Schiedam). There are also three suspicions. Unfortunately, the outlook is that the number of hospital admissions will increase even further in the coming days, the hospitals said. The umbrella organization would like to thank all colleagues who are once again working hard to accomplish ‘this immense task’.
Unsustainable
