Frankfurter Löwen signs Canadian forward Rowney

Löwen Frankfurt signed Canadian forward Carter Rowney before the start of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) season. As announced by the DEL promotion on Monday, the 33-year-old hails from the Detroit Red Wings of the North American National Hockey League. He won the Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2016-17 season. The veteran played a total of 272 NHL games. Löwen Frankfurt debuts in DEL this Friday with Grizzlys Wolfsburg.
