“In the beginning, our relationship was like a specially kept jewel. Everything was limited to text messages and facetime for dates. We talked for hours and it sounded exciting,” Megan says in the film.
“It was simple and calm and easy. We had just met. Really, like any other couple, we wanted to know: What do you like; do you cook for yourself; what movies do you like?”
Harry revealed how, despite his fears, he “opened his heart” to Meghan “to see what happens next.”
“I got to know her more and more, I was like, ‘I’m really in love with this girl.'”
A failed date
The couple went on a first date in Soho in central London which Harry missed.
“I was in a panic, I was freaking out. I was sweating,” she recalled.
Meghan revealed: She thought Harry must have a big ego if he thinks it’s normal for a girl to be waiting for him.
Meghan later described it as “just fun,” though
after an hour she left saying she had other plans.
The couple met again the following evening for dinner when she was late.
Harry said of their meeting: “Then it happened, I realized this girl is everything I was looking for. And she feels comfortable and relaxed in my company.”
In the film, Harry expresses his admiration for Meghan, who is said to have the same qualities as his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
