– I do not withdraw

Aina Stenersen won third place on the electoral list for the Storting for Oslo Frp ahead of Carl I. Hagen.

Stenersen was the nomination committee’s recommendation, but was challenged by the pastor past through a bench proposal, as Dagbladet reported several weeks ago.

Immigration policy spokesman Jon Engen-Helgheim has been elected in second place on the list for Oslo Frp. Helgheim was first wrecked from first place in Buskerud Frp. Christian Tybring-Gjedde got the first place in Oslo as expected.

The garden is also ranked first on the list of Oppland Frp.

This was the second time in four years that Carl I. Hagen challenged Stenersen for her place on the list. Ahead of the election in 2017, Stenersen withdrew from the nomination meeting when she was challenged by Hagen.

The nomination meeting begins at 11 am today. Dagbladet follows the meeting.

Tense conditions

She has told Dagbladet that she will not do this time.

– The situation was different then. The FRP was in government, and I did not want to be someone who contributed to personal struggle rather than party politics. In addition, Carl was at the end of eight years as group leader in the city council group. It was a difficult assessment, but I decided to bet on the local elections in 2019, and I do not regret it, she told Dagbladet in February.

Dagbladet is aware that the relationship between Stenersen and Hagen is not the best, and that the choice between the two is interpreted as a choice between liberal and more national conservative forces.

– He was group leader when I was associated with the group, but after that we have not had any contact. I respect Carl, but I think he has thought more of me than I have thought of him, Stenersen has said.

Wing fight

Oslo Frp was put under administration this winter, after the so-called national conservative wing of the party was seen as a major problem by the party centrally.

Ketil Solvik-Olsen, who has been nominated for a new 1st deputy leader in the central party, took over as leader of the county team on a temporary basis.

The then county leader Geir Ugland Jacobsen was excluded from the party.

Dagbladet is aware that some of the more liberal forces in Oslo FRP support Stenersen rather than Hagen, while the former FRP chairman has the support of many who want further focus on immigration policy.

Hagen x 2

Earlier this winter, Dagbladet was able to reveal that Hagen himself, and his wife Eli Hagen, are delegates on behalf of Ullern Frp at the meeting.

In other words, both have the right to vote in the match voting, which to a very high degree concerns Hagen himself.

But Carl I. Hagen insists that he does not feel confident in getting his wife’s vote.

– Eli decides for himself. Eli is a very independent lady, you know. I can not give her any directives in that voting, says Hagen about the delegate wife.

– You feel reasonably confident in her voice, don’t you?

– No, I do not, Hagen answers.
